I lost mine in 1995. They both came from a generation that was tough and self-sufficient but who cared for their families. My father also served in WWII as a paratrooper. He has been gone for 16 years and I still miss him, but I consider myself lucky for that. It's said that the depth of loss one feels is equivalent to the depth of relationship you experienced with someone while they were alive. Peace be with you, Nancy
