Which way did they go, which way did they go? Which way did they go, which way did they go?

I just Stumbled Upon Abstruse Goose where the linked cartoon is about an absurdity of time travel.

The thought that time travel might be a one-way street, though, got me to contemplating the potential consequences for embarking on such a journey

If such travel were possible, which direction would you choose? How far would you go? What if return were not possible?

What if return were not possible?

Would you be willing to give up what you have today to fight alongside your ancestors or to introduce yourself to your descendants? Would you give up today in hopes of a better future … devoid of your loved ones?

If you were just a few seconds into the future, could you still communicate and just seem a few seconds smarter than other people? If you were just a few seconds behind the rest of us, would you always be the one who never seemed to get a joke on the first telling … the one who never quite learned how to do things?

Many, many people have wondered these things and today, there are experimental physicists who claim that the theories behind time travel are sufficiently sound to warrant testing.

So I ask you, which way would you go (and how far)?
